 PARENT'S DISCIPLESHIP INVENTORY

The Parent's Discipleship Inventory consists of Four Pages, each containing a series of questions that we need you to answer yes, maybe, or no to, as you feel best describes you at this time or in some cases, in the past.

Answer yes if you agree with the statement.
Answer maybe if you agree to a certain extent but not completely.
Answer no if you do not agree with the statement.

Please complete all the questions leaving no question marked as "Not Answered". After you complete a page, click Next to move to the next page. If you are not sure of your answer you may change it. Please feel free to make a note of your reservation and we can discuss it later. There are no right or wrong answers or better personality types. In fact, as you will see later we all have a little of each personality type within us although we have more of some and less of others.

Thanks for your help in helping us to understand your child better. Remember you are answering the way that you think your child sees things.  Your answers may differ from what your child has answered on his/her inventory.

1. My child believes there is a right and wrong way to do his/her work. Therefore he/she spends more time on his/her work than some other people might
2. My child really likes routine. He/She likes nothing better than to make and follow a schedule. In fact he/she can be quite a list maker.
3. My child really likes doing his/her homework and chores. He/She does more work than he/she needs to just to make things better.
4. My child likes to put things off until he/she absolutely has to do them. Sometimes he/she waits until the last minute to get things done and has to miss doing something he/she would like to do.
5. My child can be very stubborn if someone asks him/her to do something he/she doesn't feel like doing. In fact if he/she has to do it he/she may not try very hard.
6. If there is work to be done that doesn't make sense or is not his/her responsibility he/she may refuse to pitch in and get it done.
7. My child does not like to miss school. He/She will if he/she is sick but not very often. If he/she misses and get behind in his/her schoolwork he/she is quick to make up tests and other work that he/she needs to do.
8. The problem with success is that my child never gets to enjoy it. Something always takes away from his/her feeling of accomplishment.
9. Even though my child seems to be good at a lot of different things he/she can't seem to use it to his/her own advantage. But he/she can use his/her abilities to help others.
10. I think my child knows himself/herself pretty well. He/She knows what he/she likes and what he/she doesn't like. He/She also knows what people he/she likes to be with.
11. Most of the time my child is happy with life. He/She is rarely bored or feels empty inside.
12. It feels good to be recognized. It is important to my child that people show him/her their appreciation for what he/she has done.
13. My child often finds himself/herself lost in thought. He/She can fantasize or imagine things quite easily. Frequently he/she uses his/her imagination to escape.
14. My child likes action and violence on TV and in the movies. There is nothing he/she enjoys more than a good action adventure with a lot of combat.
15. Sometimes people think my child talks strangely. His/Her thoughts are too different for them to follow.
16. My child enjoys being the center of attention or the life of the party. There is nothing he/she likes better than to draw a crowd around him/her.
17. My child thinks people should look right and dress well. He/She prides himself/herself on looking neat and attractive.
18. Some people have called my child peculiar or strange. I know he/she tends to live in his/her own world and sometimes he/she ignores other people.
19. My child often has trouble understanding other people. Why people do what they do is a mystery to him/her.
20. My child hates to wait in line and usually tries to find a way to get in or through the line quicker. He/She wouldn't hesitate to cut to the front if he/she could.
21. My child believes the past is the past. Once something is over its over. There is no use feeling guilty about something that is already past.
22. My child feels that he/she is a unique and special person. He/She may not be successful yet in the way the world defines success but he/she is special.
23. My child has strong feelings about doing what is right. He/She clearly knows the difference between right and wrong.
24. Decisions are not easy for my child. He/She takes a long time before he/she makes a decision. It is better to be safe than sorry.
25. My child makes decisions quickly and on his/her own. He/She says if you can't trust yourself whom can you trust?
